St Francis of Assisi in Pottery Lane, Notting Hill
Author Leigh Hatts talks to Inspirit's Jumoke Fashola about how he's selected London's '100 best churches'.
London's churches are part of England's cultural heritage, offering architectural, literary, and historical delights to millions of visitors each year.
Covering every part of Greater London, London's 100 Best Churches features some of London's most famous churches, along with hidden gems waiting to be discovered. All featured churches are open to the public, and visitors will find a whole range of treasures, from royal history to A-list weddings.
The guide goes from St Raphael's, Kingston upon Thames, which has held four French royal weddings, to St Mary's, Putney, which was chosen by Dickens for David Copperfield's wedding, and Stanmore Old Church which has appeared in two episodes of EastEnders.
Listen to Leigh's interview with BBC London 94.9's Inspirit presenter Jumoke Fashola as they discuss the churches they love and why.
London's 100 Best Churches by Leigh Hatts is published by Canterbury Press.
