It was an event that captured the public imagination.

A hundred years ago a robbery led to the shooting of three police officers and a siege in east London's Sidney Street.

A memorial service has been held to remember the dead and relatives of the victims attended.

BBC London interviewed Mike Bowron, Commissioner of the City of London Police, and Joe Hinton, a relative of Constable Walter Choat.
