A full scale model of the new Routemaster-style bus for London has been unveiled.
The new design was unveiled at Acton Transport Depot in west London by the Mayor of London Boris Johnson.
Just like the old buses, the new Routemasters will have a driver and a conductor on board.
The fuel efficient bus will be quieter than its diesel-run predecessor and have a platform offering passengers the traditional hop-on hop-off service.
The new interior was designed by Thomas Heatherwick.
Designer Thomas Heatherwick says he was inspired by the old Routemaster.
The new buses will be manufactured by The Wright Group.
The original Routemaster was withdrawn from general service because of accessibility and environmental issues.
The Mayor of London Boris Johnson has described the new bus as a combination of "nostalgia" and the "latest technology".
The first five new buses will be on the roads by early 2012.
