Rickets making a comeback in London

It may be considered an illness of yesteryear but now it seems rickets is back and doctors say it is down to increasing numbers of Londoners suffering from a lack of Vitamin D.

Some studies report that up to 50% of ethnic minority communities have the deficiency.

While our main source of Vitamin D is through exposure to sunlight, supplies of the medicine to treat acute cases of the condition are running dangerously low.

BBC London's Special Correspondent Kurt Barling reports.
