A map of the Thames Tour of Rotherhithe.
The walk around Rotherhithe will uncover some fascinating facts and unique places. You can discover the departure point of the Pilgrim Fathers to the New World and tales of piracy and bodysnatching. You will also see the rich mix of historic warehouses and churches alongside the modern developments of London's Docklands. The start point is Redriff Road Bridge, close to Surrey Quays or Canada Water tube. The end point is Elephant Lane, close to Rotherhithe or Canada Water tube. Getting there By tube - take the Jubilee Line to Canada Water and exit for the shopping centre. Head towards the shops (past the sports store) using the walkway around the water. You will see the large red swing bridge where the walk begins. By bus - plenty of buses go to Canada Water or Surrey Quays, see the London Buses link at the top of this page. By car - not recommended due to parking costs and limited space. What to do now Use the links on the right hand side of this page to visit each section for descriptions, amazing 360 views and photo galleries. If you plan to do the walk then we recommend you print off the pages.
