Introducing... more breakthrough music talent on BBC London.

Where are you from?
We're from New Cross in south east London. Anna and James grew up around there, the other members are originally from Crawley, Torquay and Accrington.
We like New Cross a lot - it's got a great tradition of interesting music and there are always gigs and random parties going on so it's a fun place for a new band to be.
Names of band members and instruments played?
Anna Vincent - vocals, synths; James Vincent - guitar, bass; Jamie Harrison - guitar, bass; Gary Drain - drums; Seb Underhill - synths.
How long have you been making music?
We got the band together early in 2008 and have been playing live for about a year and a half (but everyone was playing in other bands before this one).
We've spent this year gigging all over the UK, put out our first single in April and the second, I Am The Sound, is coming out this October along with a 6-track EP of the same name through Pure Groove.
Style of music and influences?
Hypnotic, DIY synth pop - we're definitely inspired by where we come from, so other south London bands like Klaxons and Blur have been important, as well as people like New Order, Talking Heads and Arthur Russell (whose song we're named after).
Best moment so far?
So many - recently, a day spent filming a video in Barnet Woods where we all got a bit psychedelic; playing a riotous show at a packed out little sweatbox in Edinburgh; playing at KoKo in Camden was unforgettable and picking up the masters of our EP from Abbey Road was definitely another moment!
What song would you most like to cover?
We already did Arthur Russell's Arm Around You for a covers album that's coming out soon on Electric Minds. Other than that we all really love this old house tune called Good Life by Inner City and I think we could translate it quite well into our sound.
Or maybe Naive Melody by Talking Heads because it's such a beautiful simple pop song.
