Common Purpose
The north-east Londoners banded together after meeting at Secondary school

Where are you from?

We're from Highams Park in north-east London.

Names of band members and instruments played?

James - vocals, rhythm guitar; Elliot - vocals, lead guitar; Cary - bass; Harry - drums.

How long have you been making music?

We formed in June 2007 after meeting at Secondary school. We're all now aged 18.

Style of music and influences?

It's best described as a mix of indie, post-punk and rock n roll, influenced by Arctic Monkeys, the Beatles, the Clash, Libertines and Stone Roses.

Best moment so far?

When we supported the Rifles at Oxford Academy as part of their March 2009 tour.

What song would you most like to cover?

We've done it in the past - it's Stay Free by the Clash.
