O.Children

Introducing... more breakthrough music talent on BBC London.

O.Children
Realising people are "actually into it" is a buzz for the East London four-piece

Where are you from?

We're from New York, Bordeaux, Durham and Clare respectively. We all met, and live in East London.

Names of band members and instruments played?

Tobi O'Kandi - vocals, songwriting; Gautheir Ajarrista - guitar; Harry James - bass; Andrew Sleath - drums.

How long have you been making music?

We've been making music together for about a year and a half now. Trying to perfect our sound and put finishing touches on every little thing.

Style of music and influences?

We've been described as everything from New Wave to Industrial Goth. We're really just a sometimes noisy, sometimes melodic, post-punk, noisy pop band with a deep voice.

Best moment so far?

Finally getting into the studio and recording our debut single. Realizing people are actually into it. Doing a Rob da Bank session at the legendary BBC Maida Vale studios in August.

What song would you most like to cover?

Prince's I Would Die 4 U. We did it yesterday!

Visit O.Children's MySpace, right, for more information. The track that brought them to our attention is the band's debut single, Dead Disco Dancer, released on Deadly Records.
