Half Tiger

Half Tiger
Electro pop trio Half Tiger say their style is "a mix of all things fun"

Where are you based?

We're from Iceland and Surrey originally but now have a studio base in Ealing, having moved there recently from Cricklewood.

Names of band members and instruments played?

Siggi - beats and synths; Simon Davies - guitars, synths and vocals; Gisli - guitars, drums and vocals.

Next London dates?

Not sure as Simon had open heart surgery yesterday. He's fine though. We're thinking it was just gas. He likes to create drama. And he complains a lot. Got to love him though.

How long have you been making music?

Together for about a year. But we've made noise in different shapes and form for a few years, both here and there.

Style of music and influences?

A mix of all things fun. Flaming Lips, Daniel Johnston, Meatloaf, Postal Service, David Bowie, De La Soul, ELO... with a dash of Amy Winehouse.

Best moment so far?

Playing to a full house of angry grime kids in Camberwell, and playing at the Airwaves Festival in Iceland.

What song would you most like to cover?

Coming Around Again by Carly Simon.

Visit Half Tiger's MySpace, right, for more information. The song that brought them to our attention is the band's new single Bright City, out on the small independent Goodbeating Records.
