Where are you from?

The suburbs; a place called South Woodford, a green and quiet town.

Names of band members and instruments played?

Just myself on guitar and vocals and my band... out and about in the UK from January 2007 onwards.

How long have you been making music?

Seriously since 2004 but I've been grafting at this for many years, jumping between performing arts college to studio engineer to being in a band to becoming a solo artist.

Style of music and influences?

Hmm, very difficult to describe. Funk n roll? I like being difficult to categorise as that's something that's always appealed to me about Prince and the way he integrates unusual sounds and textures into what he does... although it's predominantly funk.

Other artists I'm inspired by and look up to are Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Beck, Kurt Cobain, D'Angelo, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Wu-Tang Clan... the list is endless.

Every day I'm influenced and taken by 'sight and sound' - innovation from the new skool and classic old 'masters' I'm discovering for the first time.

Best moment so far?

It's hearing my song, Make It Right, on your show for the first time...!

What song would you most like to cover?

A toss-up between D'Angelo (You're My Lady) and Stealers Wheel (Stuck In The Middle With You).
