Inside the Thames Tunnel

Greg Mckenzie reports from inside the Thames Tunnel as it opens to the public for the first time in 145 years.

Robert Hulse, director of the Brunel Museum, explains how this unique tunnel captured the hearts of Victorian Londoners.

Designed by Sir Marc Brunel and assisted by his son Isambard the pedestrian tunnel took 18 years to complete and finally opened in 1843.
