Slideshow: Walking in the footsteps of Charles Dickens

In his early twenties Charles Dickens started writing sketches for several newspapers under the pseudonym, Boz.

These sketches would often focus on a specific part of London, or a specific activity taking place. When they were later collected in a single volume, he wrote in the preface that "his object has been to present little pictures of life and manners as they really are."

Now, journalism student Mike Kielty is retracing Dickens' journey through London to see how the capital has changed nearly 200 years later.
