London among world's best-value destinations

London may be the most expensive city in the UK to live in, as we residents have long known.

But the plunging pound has made it one of the most affordable spots for foreign tourists, according to research by a travel guide company.

Lonely Planet has ranked the capital in the top 10 of the world's best-value destinations after Iceland and Thailand.

The guide introduced its review of London by saying, "Every economic crisis has a silver lining".

Our cameras have been following one couple from Australia around the capital in a special report introduced by Louisa Preston at the South Bank.
