2012 opening ceremony to be 'opened to the city'

Film director Danny Boyle has been put in charge of the opening ceremony for the 2012 Olympics and one early idea of his is to take the festivities out of the stadium and to London's parks and streets.

He spoke to BBC London's Olympics Correspondent Adrian Warner about why he has taken this project on and what he has up his sleeve.

Two Years

In July it will be exactly two years until the games begin.

We want to know what you would like the opening ceremony to be like.

Send us your thoughts, pictures, drawings and ideas to BBC London. We'll put them to some of the best creative minds in the capital.
