Alice in wonderland

If you've seen the new Alice in Wonderland film you won't want to miss the latest exhibition at The World Of Glass.

In Mosaic Wonderland at St Helens World of Glass artist Debbie Ryan has created an exciting new work that follows Alice down the rabbit hole and into the magical world of author Lewis Carroll.

The Mosaic Wonderland exhibition runs until 9 May 2010.

Speke Hall

Take a magical journey into the world of Alice in Wonderland at Speke Hall in Liverpool this weekend.

Two days of Lewis Carroll inspired family fun take place at the National Trust venue on Saturday, 20 March and Sunday, 21 March, 2010.

Craft events take place throughout the day and children in costume will be admitted free.

Royal Chester Rowing Club celebrates the 75th Anniversary of the North of England Head of the River Race this weekend.

The 5000m race is held on the River Dee at Chester and organised by Royal Chester Rowing Club.

This year's event will take place on Saturday 20 March starting at 1000GMT.

Golden Retriever

Oprah Winfrey, Will Smith and Nicholas Cage have all had their dogs trained and balanced by US TV Dog Whisperer Cesar Milan.

Now the dog psychology expert brings his live show to the UK for the first time at Echo Arena Liverpool.

Using his natural gifts as an educator and as an entertainer Cesar's show uses multimedia presentation and friendly pooches to illustrate his dog training ideas and concepts.

Southport Palette Club Exhibition is a great opportunity to buy affordable art and support local artists.

Work on display includes paintings, sculptures, embroidery and ceramics all created by artists linked to Southport through birth, work, education or past residence.

The exhibition runs at Bootle Town Hall Ballroom, Oriel Road, Bootle until Tuesday 23 March 2010.
