Two chemo cars for Clatterbridge

BBC Radio Merseyside listeners raised 26,000 for Clatterbridge, your cancer centre.

BBC Radio Merseyside has handed over the keys to two new chemo cars to Clatterbridge hospital.

The Clatterbridge, your cancer centre charity is the official Radio Merseyside partner charity for 2010.

The two new chemo cars were added to the fleet today thanks to £26,000 raised by Radio Merseyside listeners.

Chemo cars mean that chemotherapy nurses can take care closer to patients rather than making patients travel long distances for treatment.

The cars are loaded with all the drugs and equipment that will be needed to treat patients at clinics across the region.
