Join Steve Coleman each weekday (0500-0600) for great music, early-morning chat and your chance to catch up with BBC Radio Merseyside's best bits.
Funny or serious, informative or entertaining Steve keeps you up to date with what has been happening in and around Merseyside.
Steve is a familiar voice from the Billy Butler Show, which he produces in the afternoon, but he hasn't always worked in radio.
Steve's first job saw him as a pallet maker in St Helens, it wasn't long before he moved onto straightening the lids on mince pies in a temporary Christmas role. More recently he was a teacher at a college here on Merseyside before joining the BBC in 2003 as a community journalist.
He grew up in Haydock near St Helens and can often be spotted on the terraces at Knowsley Road watching his beloved St Helen's Rugby League Club.
