Versatility is Alan Jackson's middle name; just as comfortable in the studio as he is on a major outside broadcast, the greatly experienced presenter started his career in the Isle of Man with Manx Radio before joining the BBC in 1980.

Tuesday's (from 1900), he presides over the now legendary 'Football Football Show' when anything goes as long as it's about football. You can call with your views on 0151 709 9333.

Thursdays (1900 - 2000) is 'Saints FM' - the Rugby League hour with studio guests Ray French and Allan Rooney looking ahead to this week's super league action.

Saturday's (1400) it's Saturday Sports Special covering all the weekend sporting action involving Everton, Liverpool, Tranmere, Chester, Southport and all the local Rugby Union and Rugby League teams.
