Firework displays will take place across Merseyside this November

Liverpool's annual firework display will commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Moon landings with three displays in Sefton Park, Walton Hall Park and Newsham Park on Thursday, 5 November. Admission to the displays is free, they start at 7.30pm and will be orchestrated to space themed music. For more information call 0151 233 2008. Wirral Council firework displays are also on Thursday, 5 November. All displays start at 6.30pm, admission is free. The displays are at seven locations across Wirral - Central Park in Wallasey, Birkenhead Park, Mayer Park in Bebington, Upton Park in Moreton, Lingham Park in Moreton, Mersey Park in Birkenhead, Leasowe Adventure Playground and Woodchurch Community Centre. In St Helens the annual display is at Sherdley Park on Sunday, 1 November at 7pm, admission is free. There will also be a family funfair from 6pm to 9pm. Halton's free display is on Thursday, 5 November starting at 7.30pm. The best viewing areas are Mersey Road, Runcorn and Victoria Promenade and West Bank in Widnes. There will be free parking in Runcorn and Widnes town centres and at Spike Island's Catalyst Car Park. For more information call 01928 516117.
