BBC Radio Merseyside and our charity partner Clatterbridge, Your Cancer Centre, are giving you the chance to beat the winter gloom and raise money at the same time. All you have to do is think of a group of friends and invite them to "Come Dine @ Mine," on Saturday February 5th. They'll each make a donation in return for your hospitality. We hope you'll have a great time taking part in the region's biggest simultaneous dinner party. So far this year, we have raised more than £70,000 to help patients who are being treated by Clatterbridge clinicians at the hospital in south Wirral, or at various centres across Merseyside, Cheshire and Lancashire. There will soon be a satellite centre at Aintree University Hospital. We now need to raise another £30,000 before the partnership ends in April. The money will be used to create two overnight rooms plus bathroom and kitchen for families with a loved one undergoing in patient treatment. Come Dine @ Mine is a perfect opportunity to mix socialising with charitable fund raising. We are asking people across the area to come together on February 5th - maybe a few close family and friends, or it could be fellow members of a sporting or theatrical club.
