Wildlife haven at Fiddlers Ferry

Osprey Bird of Prey have been spotted at the Fiddlers Ferry

The Fiddlers Ferry power station in Cheshire provides the majority of electricity to the North West.

The eight 600 foot cooling towers dominate the landscape between Widnes and Warrington.

What is less obvious is the fact that within the power station's 800 acre site is a haven for wildlife.

Over 100 species of birds, including Osprey birds of prey, Herons and migrating Scandinavian geese have been spotted on the site.
