David Harbottle
|
After playing in a handful of local bands acoustic singer-songwriter David Harbottle has decided to go it alone. He pays close attention to emotional vocals which accompany his acoustic music and is influenced by Damien Rice, Elliott Smith and Radiohead. David says that his music is strong melodically and usually features a sombre backbeat. He is often accompanied by a band, but all of his songs are recorded and produced in the confines of his room on a small multitrack recorder. Inspired by the drink, love and despair surrounding youth, David writes his songs with a subtle honesty, whilst remaining melodic and easy to relate too. He played in a handful of local bands in both Sheffield and Newcastle before deciding to venture away in search of something new and moved to the North West.
