The Great Train Robbery (1903) is one of the films being screened
A series of classic silent films are being shown at the BBC Big Screen in Liverpool this October.
The evening screenings will be accompanied by newly commissioned music from North West musicians.
The short films include The Great Train Robbery from 1901 and 1903's That Fatal Sneeze plus footage of Disneyland in the 1960s.
Admission is free, with screening from 7pm on 29 October, 2009, at the BBC Big Screen in Clayton Square.
Musicians including Fonik, a.P.A.t.T. and Frakture will play on a live relay from BBC Merseyside's studios.
Other highlights of the screening are George Mèliés Voyage a travers l'impossible from 1904, Aladin ou la lampe merveilleuse from 1906 and footage of the New York World Fair in 1939 and 1940.
The show is expected to last until about 8.30pm, limited seating is provided.
As it is an outdoor event please dress warmly.
