A series of mock-rescues have taken place in Lincolnshire.

Helicopters and police divers have been involved in operations at Tattershall Lakes near Woodhall Spa, winching people to safety from rooftops.

It was all part of Exercise Watermark and emergency services are hoping that all that has been tried and tested during the week's exercise will help them in the case of a real emergency of coastal flooding.

The exercise has been described as the largest civil defence exercise that's ever been run in the UK and attracted the environment minister, Richard Benyon, to see the exercise for himself as well as the BBC's Countryfile programme with presenter John Craven taking part in one of the rescues.
