Look North's Sarah Cruddas was among the first passengers onboard the maiden flight chartered from Humberside Airport to view the Northern Lights.

Lincolnshire astronomer Paul Money was also onboard as part of a team of experts on hand to provide information and advice to more than 100 passengers during the three hour round trip to the Shetland Isles in Scotland.

Passengers had a good view of the Aurora Borealis from the area that is regarded as the best place to view the Northern Lights from the UK.

Sarah Cruddas said: "The Northern Lights look completely different from above the horizon."
