The Lincoln Christmas Market 2009

Watch the film and find out more about Lincoln's renowned Christmas Market

It all started in 1982 with the then Lincoln Christmas Market being a somewhat modest affair by today's standard.

For some, it's the most important event in the City's calendar as it brings over 150,000 visitors to Lincoln.

Over 300 stalls offer a wide selection of crafts and traditional foods.

The market generates around £10 million for the local economy and it takes inspiration from its German twin-town of Neustadt an der Weinstrasse.
