You could soon be taking a book out of a library in Lincolnshire and returning it in a neighbouring county.
It's all part of a shake up of library services planned by Lincolnshire County Council.
The assistant director for Culture and Adult Education, Mark Homer, said that this will improve the service.
The council is also looking at ways of making more use of its library buildings, with the idea of making them multi-use centres.
"If you go to Mablethorpe, if you go to Conningsby and if you go to Horncastle you'll see that one of the things we've done there is we have library services, very busy libraries, that sit alongside your ability to access other services."
