The Lincolnshire Bahá'í community, work towards educating people about the importance of peace and harmony, both locally and globally.

Bahá'ís of Lincoln and Lincolnshire accept and believe in the revelations of the Bahá'í Faith,

Bahá'ís come from over 2,100 ethnic, racial, and tribal groups and number some six million worldwide.

Bahá'í communities around the globe have been working to break down barriers of prejudice.

At the heart of the belief is the conviction that humanity is a single person with a common destiny. In the words of Bahá'u'lláh, the founder of the Faith, "The earth is but one country, and mankind its citizens."

Bahá'ís work

The Lincolnshire Bahá'ís (pronounced ba-high) support the work of people or groups who promote harmony between different religions and cultures, care for the planet's natural resources and care for those in need.

Bahá'ís in the county are involved in inter-faith activities and multi-cultural work.

Bahá'u'lláh (an Arabic title meaning The Glory of God) was the Messenger of God promised in the writings of the world's great religions.

The Messengers of God e.g. Moses, Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha and Bahá'u'lláh are all equal and all come from one God like rays from one Sun.

Every Messenger of God has bought the teachings required for his age. Bahá'u'lláh has bought the teachings required for the unification of mankind.

These include:

The equality of men and women.

The abolition of prejudice.

The elimination of extremes of wealth and poverty.

The harmony of science and religion.

The ending of war between nations through a system of common security.

The selection of an international auxiliary language to be taught in all the world's schools.

The establishment of a federal world government.
