Leicester searches for investors for regeneration plans

Leicester councillors have launched a brochure to attract new private investors from across the country to spend money in the city's future regeneration plans.

A billion pounds has already been invested on new buildings for Leicester over the last 10 years - including the Highcross Shopping Centre, Curve and Phoenix Square.

Leicester City Council, Prospect Leicestershire and other partners have more ambitious plans for the changing face of Leicester, but public money is drying up.

BBC Leicester's Geoff Maskell spoke to Cllr Abdul Osman from the city council, who is hopeful for Leicester's redevelopment vision.
