A 14-year-old from Leicestershire, who was bullied at primary school, has been speaking about his experience on an anti-bullying video for a national disfigurement charity.

Lucas Hayward, who was born with a condition called frontal-nasal craniofacial dysplasia, has been working with Changing Faces to help change peoples attitudes towards those who have disfigurements.

"I was bullied for most of my time at primary school. Boys would punch me and wrestle me to the ground and the girls called me cruel names like 'pig nose' or 'elephant man'.

"I hope that by talking about my disfigurement, it will show people not to make assumptions.

"I don't want anyone to go through what I went through."

Colin Darling, from Changing Faces said: "There are over one million people in the UK with a disfigurement and it would be great to see this anti-bullying campaign gaining momentum."
