Tay will be reporting on music stories across Leicestershire for summer 2010

Until early September 2010, the website team at BBC Leicester has been joined by BBC Blast reporter Tay Joseph.

She will be out and about across Leicestershire keeping up with all the latest local music stories as part of BBC Introducing.

From festival reporting and capturing carnivals, to trying her hand at MCing, Tay will be bring you the best from Leicester's diverse music scene.

A bit about Tay...

Name: Tay Joseph

Age: 20

Me in three words: Ambitious, independent, versatile.

Music history: I played the clarinet in my school orchestra. I also played the violin, but gave it up to play the steel pans.

Favourite music genre: I love listening to all types of music.

Favourite musical: Bugsy Malone. Classic!

Favourite album: Alicia Keys - 'Songs in A minor', because every song on the album is beautiful. I could listen to it over and over again.

Karaoke song choice: Amy Winehouse - 'Valerie'

Best gig: Chiddy Bang, live in London.

Best thing about Leicester: The theatres.
