A life-long love of vinyl records

Over the last few years the number of vinyl records has declined significantly, but one Leicestershire man is happy to stay in the groove.

Derek Whittington has a collection of over 18,000 records stored around his Shepshed home.

His passion for vinyl started when he was given a Cliff Richard album at the age of 5, and he has been searching through music shops ever since.

"My view is that the sound of vinyl is a much friendlier, more welcoming sound.

"It's much easier to listen to vinyl than it is to digital."
