In pictures: LCFC's League Cup wins

BBC Leicester celebrates Leicester City FC's 125th anniversary by looking back at their three League Cup victories. City first won the League Cup in 1964. They defeated Stoke 4-3 on aggregate in a two legged final, played on a home and away basis.

The winners received tankards rather than medals. This is Graham Cross's tankard, which is on display at the Foxes' home ground, the Walkers Stadium.

nfortunately for Leicester City, the information on this pennant is wrong. Leicester did not win the League Cup in 1963, although they were defeated by Chelsea in the 1965 League Cup final.

This scarf commemorates Leicester City winning the League Cup in 1997. Emile Heskey's equaliser, three minutes from the end of extra time against Middlesbrough at the Wembley Stadium, forced a replay at Hillsborough which Leicester won.

The cover of Steve Walsh's testimonial programme shows him holding the League Cup aloft after Leicester City's victory over Middlesborough. Steve Claridge scored the winning goal.

After losing to a last minute goal to Tottenham Hotspurs in the 1999 League Cup final, Leicester returned to the Wembley Stadium in 2000 to beat Tranmere Rovers 2-1. Matt Elliott scored both goals.

The League Cup was known as the Worthington Cup in 2000, hence these ribbons on this replica League Cup, which is on display in reception at the Walkers Stadium.

The 2000 League Cup qualified Leicester City for a UEFA Cup tie against Red Star Belgrade. Leicester lost the home leg (and the tie) against a backdrop of flares set off by the Red Star supporters.
