Down In The Grooves
James Addyman
DJ James Addyman plays the best in retro grooves

DJ James Addyman has been scouring the racks of record shops for more years than he cares to remember.

Luckily for you he puts all that effort to some use by providing an outlet for music that's undeniably popular but unfortunately receives scant attention.

His show, Down In The Grooves, brings great retro grooves to you from around the world.

Every week James plays the best tunes from his vinyl archives as well as the the odd CD, here and there!!).

However it's not all vintage as James is willing to give modern bands with a retro feel, a fair go.

The show which goes out on Friday night/Saturday morning (1am - 3am) plays the best tracks in rhythm 'n' blues, club soul, mod, funk, psychedelia, soundtracks, Northern Soul, music library, dancefloor jazz, Hammond grooves and all points in between.

So, remember retro is the new modern and tune in to Down In The Grooves for music that transcends the here and now, and rocks your world anytime you like.

The show is streamed live and each show is also archived on the BBC iPlayer for a whole week, so there's no excuse to miss the show.
