One of Europe's biggest travelling theme parks rolls back into Leeds for the 20th staging of the Valentine's Fair.

It is billed as the UK's biggest Valentine's event.

This year even bigger and better attractions are promised for the event during the half-term holidays.

An array of theme park and traditional funfair rides will be assembled on the Elland Road car parks, adjoining Leeds United Football ground for 11 days.

From white knuckle thrillers like Top Buzz, SuperSpin, and Sea Storm to family fun attractions there's plenty to see. Not forgetting traditional stomach-churning favourites like the waltzers and the crash of dodgems.

The fair will start on Thursday, 17 February at 3.00pm with the official opening.

World's first

Organisers, International Fun Fairs claim that Leeds hosted the world's first Valentine's Fair and that it has grown over the last two decades.

An extra treat this year will be on Fridays between 2pm and 6pm when several children's TV mascots will be on hand to join in the fun.

Leeds Valentine's Fair runs Thursday, 17 to Sunday, 27 February 2011.
