Ian Holloway lost out on Coach of the Year to Colin Montgomerie

If Blackpool FC manager Ian Holloway was disappointed to miss out on the BBC'S Coach of the Year Award, he will be chuffed as a badger with his book.

The Little Book of Ollie'isms, which is full of his unique pearls of wisdoms, is a complete sell out said the manager of Blackpool bookshop Waterstones.

Tom Parker described the sales of the book as 'phenomenal'.

"He's an icon in terms of the quotations he comes out with but unfortunately we've no books left."

"It has out sold all our expectations," said Mr Parker of Ollie'isms which was second only to Jamie Oliver 30-Minute Meals in November.

The book by the charismatic manager, who steered the Seasiders back into the Premiership for the first time since 1971 in May, has beaten the likes of Alan Sugar, Paul O'Grady and Michael McIntyre in the competitive Christmas book market.

While you won't be able to buy your loved one a copy for Christmas now, you should be able to buy them one for Valentine's Day.

"We're hoping they'll be back in stock in February," added Mr Parker.

Holloway was pipped for the Coach of 2010 Award in the BBC Sport Personality of the Year Awards by Ryder Cup captain Colin Montgomerie.
