Graham Liver is coming home to BBC Radio Lancashire - he'll present the Breakfast Show from next year taking over from Tony Livesey. Graham, currently the mid-morning presenter at BBC Radio Leeds, will take over from Tony in January. It's been four years since Graham last worked at BBC Radio Lancashire. Born and brought up in Lancaster, he grew up listening to the Gerald Jackson and Joe Wilson, and has wanted to work in broadcasting ever since. He first joined BBC Radio Cumbria aged 18 but four years later got his dream job at Lancashire, joining the sports team as a commentator for Blackburn Rovers, the team he still supports. Absolutely thrilled The station liked his presenting style and he went on to work on the lunchtime, afternoon and drivetime shows as well as continuing with sport. After four years over the border, he's back: "I'm absolutely thrilled to be coming back to Lancashire. It's the station I grew up listening to and if I was going to do a breakfast show anywhere then this is where I wanted it to be. It's an exciting opportunity and I'm looking forward to becoming the new voice at the start of the day on BBC Radio Lancashire. "While I've been in Leeds I've been nominated for a Sony award and twice nominated for as best presenter in the Gillard Awards. I've never won, but I hope to when I'm back at BBC Radio Lancashire." Graham's first show will be on Monday 4 January from 6am on BBC Radio Lancashire 95.5FM, 103.9FM 104.5 FM and DAB. "I can't wait to come home," he says.
