We uncover Gazza's exploits since heading the BBC Radio Lancashire's Sport. He reveals how he lost his voice live on air, why he needed a police escort from one match and the "coffee cup incident"... Most memorable game: Phew! Where do you start? I have to say for pure adrenalin, and for that special "Will I get out of here in one piece?" moment, it has to be during Blackburn Rovers European campaign. During the build up to the match in Bulgaria against CSKA Sofia, one of the local gang leaders approached me entering the ground the night before the game to watch Rovers training. He gave me a badge which read CSKA HOOLIGANS (in full view of the local police) and then whispered in my ear that certain things could happen after the game should things not turn out too good in the Bulgarian Army Stadium for his team. It turned out to be a fantastic night with lots of action and a superb atmosphere. Scary but nice if you get my point. The armed police escort to the airport with sirens blazing was also a first!

I once linked to every reporter in a sequence not knowing that all our lines were down so obviously no one was able to answer me.

Any presenting disasters? Of course! Now, the ones you never noticed I will keep to myself but there are plenty I have shared with you over the years. • I have lost my voice live on air on a Saturday. • I once linked to every reporter in a sequence not knowing that all our lines were down so obviously no one was able to answer me. Doesn't sound too clever on radio that one believe me! • The famous coffee-cup incident at an Accrington v Morecambe game. I tried to catch the ball for the lads as it came off the field of play, however, I thought the steward in front of me was going to do it and so left it. At the last minute the steward side-stepped the ball and the rest is history. One Sport Editor covered in three cups of lukewarm coffee, glasses askew with BBC Radio Lancashire's Richard Connelly gasping for air as he tried to keep in the laughter live on air. A quality moment! Best and worse manager in post match interview? Some of the most enjoyable people to interview over the years have been: The late Billy Ayre, Adrian Heath, Mike Phelan, Sam Allardyce, Brian Kidd, Stan Ternent, Les Chapman, Roy Hodgson, David Moyes, Don Mackay, Gary Peters, Craig Brown, Jimmy Mullen, Nigel Worthington, Steve McMahon, Graeme Souness, Jim Harvey, John Coleman Some of the others who didn't make the list above: Kenny Dalglish, the late Ray Harford (lovely man but didn't like a microphone) John Beck, Gary Megson, Sam Ellis, just to name a few.

Ever been a question you wished you'd asked? Yes. "Are you sure I need to work that many hours, boss?" Or wish you hadn't? Kurt Nogan on how much he got paid. He answered it live on the phone in after fans had called him a money grabber for leaving Burnley to join Preston. What's your interests off the pitch? Catch up with other sports on TV, listen to lots of music, watch films, I read a lot, watch too many documentaries and have been known to like a few glasses of red now and again!
