Chorley success story James Walsh from Starsailor is to perform a special acoustic set with Ian Broudie at 53 Degrees in Preston this December.

Growing up just down the road and attending Holy Cross High School this will be a virtually home town gig for James.

While Ian Broudie is most famous for his work in The Lightning Seeds in the early 90s.

The gig is part of a tour that also sees them visit Lancaster.

Distinctive vocal

Broudie is now better known in the industry as a producer, working with the likes of Echo and The Bunnymen, The Coral, The Subways and The Zutons and many more. He will always be remembered for his collaboration with Frank Skinner and David Baddiel on World Cup anthem Three Lions.

James Walsh is the man who provides Starsailor with the distinctive vocal sound that has helped them achieve four charting albums and ten top 40 singles over the last eight years.
