A group of young entrepreneurs are getting a TASTE for business by setting up their own catering company. Students entering the national Young Enterprise competition at Longridge High School are staging a food festival on Saturday 14 November. Neil Robinson who trained at Northcote Manor will be whipping up some of his dishes at the festival. There be a food hall, too, with stalls offering everything from cheese to fudge to tempt you. Local bands will be accompanying Robinson's food demonstrations throughout the day at Longridge Civic Hall. The team - who have named their business TASTE - are also releasing a cook book featuring recipes from the county's top chefs.

- Alex Coward from Thyme has contributed a Morcambe shrimp recipe - Nick Park has revealed how he makes his Lancashire cheese scones - The Horns Inn have donated a recipe for chocolate bread pudding Teams from schools and sixth forms who enter the Young Enterprise competition are judged on a set criteria including being environmentally friendly and being innovative. TASTE are hoping their catering business will be picked to represent the north west in the national finals. The TASTE Food Festival is on Saturday 14 November in Longridge Civic Hall from 10.30am-4.00pm. Entry is free.
