Comic Relief: Maidstone's Dandelion Time project

Dandelion Time funds work with young people who have experienced trauma

The Maidstone-based charity, Dandelion Time, gives youngsters the chance to muck in on a working farm, and helps them to deal with emotional and behavioural problems.

Dandelion Time applied for a grant for £10,000 to pay for a member of staff to help the children find a new way forward.

In February, BBC Blue Peter presenter Andy Akinwolere visited the project and brought with him a cheque for the full grant from the Comic Relief fund.

Stand up for Comic Relief

As part of BBC South East's Comic Relief effort this year, we have challenged three of the South East's presenters from BBC Radio Kent, BBC Sussex and BBC Surrey to try their hand at stand-up comedy.

BBC Radio Kent's Matthew Davies and his colleagues will be leaving the sanctuary of their radio studios to face a live audience on Thursday night at the Komedia in Brighton.

To show your support for Matthew Davies on BBC Radio Kent Text "KENT" to 70011

Texts cost £1 plus your standard network message charge.

£1 per text goes to Comic Relief.
