Children in Need appeal for 2009

The campaign helps thousands of children each year

Hundreds of organisations are using grant money from Children in Need to help improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people.

Despite the economic conditions, the 2008 Appeal raised a record breaking £37.8m which has helped more than 700 projects across the UK.

In Kent more than £360,989 has been awarded to 10 projects in local grants.

This year, Friday, 20 November, marks the 30th BBC Children in Need Appeal.

EVENT: At Aylesham Medical Practice the nurses and doctors and staff shall be delivering all their normal health care services all dressed as ballerinas.

EVENT: Having a Pyjama Party!! Staff, parents and children are being sponsored to wear their pyamas to the toddler group with some of our local Police Community Support Officers coming along and joining in the fun! Also a cake sale, colouring competition and teddy bear raffle.

EVENT: A Sponsored cycle-a-thon from the time that we open at 6.30am to the time that we close at 9.00pm (we are a health spa) by all the staff in a relay. Total cycling time of 15 hours.
