Finding a UFO

According to figures released by the MoD, police and military bases received 285 reports of UFO sightings in 2008. Some of those were in Kent.

It's a startling increase on the 135 sightings reported in 2007, and the 97 reported in 2006.

A Royal Navy officer reported he had watched a UFO for over three minutes before it "zoomed off".

Kent had nine reported sightings in 2008, including two over Rainham. What were they?

Over Rainham

A UFO that looked like a yellowy light. The object was quite near and fairly low down in the sky. There was no sound.

Over Tonbridge

An object was flying around in circles at aeroplane leven and sounded like an industrial train. There was a strange flashing on the object.

Over Dover

There were half a dozen glowing lights. They were an orange fire colour. They were silent and moving across the sky at the speed of a helicopter.

Over Kennington

Orange shape travelling North West to South Weat at fair pace, 2000ft plus. Bright orange. Similar in shape to an inverted light bulb. There was no sound.
