Amy was once named 'Scoop of the year'
Amy is a video journalist for BBC Channel Islands news and she also produces and presents the programme.
She joined the team in May 2008 after getting her grounding in journalism from working as a newspaper reporter on weekly and daily titles across the midlands.
While in her first job as a trainee reporter, Amy was named Scoop of the Year in the Midlands Media Awards for writing a report that ended up on the front page of the Sun newspaper and across national and international media.
At the BBC in the Channel Islands, she enjoys covering a wide variety of stories on issues that matter to islanders and being out and about with her camera on the front line of news events.
Originally from landlocked Leicestershire, Amy really enjoys living in Jersey, where everywhere is only minutes from the sea.
Her favourite place in the island is St Ouen's Bay, although she's still not mastered the art of surfing!
She also loves walking and mountain biking through Jersey's beautiful countryside and spending time with friends in the island's cosmpolitan town St Helier.
Watch Amy Monday - Friday on BBC One at 18:30 and 22:25.
