Jersey's Eric Young Orchid Foundation won their sixth gold medal
A Jersey flower grower has won gold at this years Chelsea Flower Show.
The Eric Young Orchid Foundation were displaying for the first time in three years with a collection of pansy orchids originally from Colombia.
The Foundation has exhibited at Chelsea five times since 1991 and won a gold medal on each occasion.
Chris Purver of Eric Young Orchid Foundation said he was delighted with the gold medal saying that it was great they'd maintained their gold record.
Chris told BBC Jersey they don't exhibit at Chelsea every year because of the amount of time and effort that goes into creating the display.
This means they only do one display a year and Chelsea is on a rota with a number of other international flower shows.
"We do about one a year, it is a huge effort and you can't do this kind of thing every year, it's nice to make an impact once every three years or so," said Chris.
Chris said that there were a few issues with the flowers because of the hot weather over the last few days, but that they managed to pull a strong display out of what was left.
