Bones won the 2010 Jersey Live Battle of the Bands
Female fronted funk rock group, Bones, will open the Jersey Live music festival main stage.
They beat nine other acts in the 2010 Jersey Live Battle of the Bands in association with Studio Jam.
As well as opening the main stage, Bones will get a days recording session at Jersey Rock Studios with producer Sam Falle.
Singer Annie Law loved the experience, saying: "I've never got into it so much in my life, it was so good."
The runner up was Pirate Video Company who will play the Les Inrocks Magic stage and get a days recording.
However, it wasn't an easy decision for festival organisers as every act playing was strong enough to perform at the festival.
All ten acts will get a chance to play on one of the festivals five stages.
Kevin Pallot and the Pinnacles and Isaac Evans will play the Hospitality stage in the VIP area.
The Bloody Battle, Hype and Brave Yesterday will all play the Wild West Tease Stage and for the first time two Battle of the Bands acts will play the Dance Arena.
Electro duo Brobots and ganster rap act Ed & BJ have both been offered a slot, playing alongside acts like Caspa, Calvin Harris and Tinie Tempah.
Hip Hop group, Hip Hoperation, have also been offered a slot at the festival, playing the LesInrocks Magic stage alongside acts like Jamaica and Fenech-Soler.
The opportunity to play at Jersey Live is also being opened up to Guernsey bands this year, with seven putting themselves forward.
There is no competition for Guernsey bands, instead organisers selected the two acts going through to the September event.
Last of the Light Brigade
