Rui Reis takes top JSAD award

Rui received his award from Ann Calbert of Northwest Special Olympics

Rui Reis has won the top prize at the 2009 JSAD awards ceremony.

He has been training and competing in gymnastics for 15 years and is respected by all members of the Club.

He has competed successfully at a national level in five Special Olympics and for the Channel Islands at the small nations games in Luxembourg.

Rui received his award at the Merton Hotel in Jersey on Saturday 14 November from Mrs Ann Calvert of Northwest Special Olympics.

Rui now helps in coaching the juniors and is proving to be a very particular and demanding task master.

He enjoys the performance of other gymnasts and is delighted when they are successful. He is always one of the first to congratulate a team mate on a good performance.

He still has an amazing enthusiasm for his chosen sport
