Scallop row between Manx and Scots

A row over scallop fishing has broken out between the Isle of Man and Scotland.

The Isle of Man government introduced new bye-law a fortnight ago which bans larger Scottish fleets from fishing in Manx waters to protect stocks.

The Manx government say 'nomadic' Scottish vessels wiped out a whole generation of scallops last year.

The move has enraged Scottish fishermen who say they are being discriminated against.
