Seal pups stranded on the Isle of Man coast

The recent stormy weather on the Isle of Man has led to an increased number of baby seals being left stranded off the coastline.

The seal pups stay on the beach when they are being fed and can get separated from the mothers.

Sightings should be reported to the Manx Society for the Protection of Cruelty to Animals.

The charity warns that although the babies look vulnerable they should not be approached.

Although grey seals are a familiar sight around the Isle of Man, they are one of the rarest seals in the world.
