Zac Efron 'delighted' with warm reception

Movie star Zac Efron told BBC Isle of Man he was "touched" by the turn out that greeted him before Saturday's premiere of Me and Orson Welles.

He was joined on the red carpet by Claire Danes, Christian McKay and director Richard Linklater.

Efron, 22, who leapt to fame in the successful Disney franchise High School Musical said he was delighted with the warm Manx reception.

"It is fantastic to have so many people turn out to support the movie."

The focus of the film was the Isle of Man's Gaiety Theatre, which doubled for the Mercury Theatre in 1930s Manhattan.
